Business Development Lead
Schweiz - Basel

Your tasks:

  • Be a leader and part of the Management Team for the DACH Business
  • Win work and grow the business in Switzerland
  • Close contracts protecting the company
  • Responsible for developing the Business Development Strategy in partnership with the Business Unit Leads for the DACH region
  • Ability to establish an excellent rapport, develop deep relationships and establish trust:
    • with new customers
    • at senior levels in customer organizations
    • at project delivery level,
    • Business Unit Leads
    • Leadership and Management Team of the business
  • Analysis of new market trends and development of strategies to position the company to adapt to the new trends
  • Coordination of all business development activities across Business Units
  • Ensuring Compliance with all Work Winning Processes
  • Care, custody and control responsibility for the Sales and Marketing team in Basel, working in parallel with the Marketing and BD team in the UK


Your profile:


  • University degree in an Engineering, Project Management, Process, Chemical or Life Sciences Discipline
  • Business Degree or Diploma


  • Extensive experience in delivering engineering services and full project delivery for the Life Sciences industry, maybe as a project manager or lead engineer
  • Knowledge of the market and all major customers, competitors
  • Respected within the industry
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new customers and projects
  • Business Acumen commensurate with a senior manager in a large international organization
  • Excellent communication skills paired with a methodical work mindset
  • Fluent in English, German, (French optional)
  • Willing to travel regularly - 2 to 3 nights a week
  • Tenacity, commitment and resilience - Never say die attitude to winning and closing contracts
  • Ability to gain trust with the customers
